Osteopathy for Headaches
Expert, hands-on relief for everyday aches and postural tension in Camberley.
Understanding Headaches
Headaches can disrupt your day, affect your focus, and make even simple tasks feel overwhelming. While there are many types of headaches, some are closely linked to tension, posture, or issues in the neck, jaw and upper back—areas where osteopathy can make a real difference.

Common Causes of headaches
-
Muscle tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back
-
Poor posture at work or while using devices
-
Stress and jaw clenching
-
Previous injuries (e.g., whiplash)
-
Eye strain or fatigue
-
Sinus congestion
If you notice your headaches often start after a long day at your desk, or seem to be triggered by neck stiffness or stress, you may be experiencing what’s known as “tension-type” or “cervicogenic” headaches.

FAQs
Can osteopathy help all types of headaches?
Osteopathy is most effective for headaches related to muscle tension, posture, or neck issues such as tension type or cervical genic headaches. Migraines and other types may require a combined approach with your GP. Often treatment can help reduce the frequency or intensity of migraines and similar headaches but not resolve them longer term. If you aren't sure if osteopathy can help with your headaches please reach out, I am always honest if I feel I am not to best person to help you.
How many treatments will I need?
Many people notice improvement within a few sessions, but your plan will be tailored to your needs. There is never any pressure to block book or sign up to a long course of treatment. I will give you my professional recommendation but the choice is always in your hands.
Will I get advice for self-care?
Yes! You’ll receive practical tips and exercises to support your recovery at home that work with your lifestyle and time constraints.
